Careers :: What is it like to work for Evolution Health?

Dr Rebecca Walker:

Dr Rebecca Walker"Being a part of this team has given me a job that I enjoy and the daily opportunity to develop as a doctor. Each member of the clinical team has their own strengths and areas of interest which they are encouraged to expand and share with others. Clinical discussion is welcomed over coffee, breakfast and lunch, creating an extremely supportive environment.

More structured educational sessions are a normal part of the working week with educational meetings on current clinical issues, challenging cases and courses attended by team-members. Everyone is listened to and their contributions and opinions valued, whatever their level. Study-leave is actively encouraged and forthcoming courses discussed at weekly meetings.

There is an organised mentoring system which provides the opportunity for formal meetings and informal discussion with a named mentor. I am encouraged to work at a level that challenges and stretches me but I always feel supported. Duty doctor shifts are always tackled, not only by the allocated clinician, but other members of the team when they have time available - and so workload is never overwhelming and morale high.

The atmosphere and ethos of the practice create an excellent working environment. Clinical and non-clinical staff work extremely well together to provide a service of which we are all proud".
